Description

The design files located in this repository can be used to construct a programmable benchtop photocrosslinking chamber designed for use with 1.5 mL Eppendorf tubes. This system employs 365 nm ultraviolet light emitting diodes (UV LEDs) as a light source leading to reduced sample heating when compared to mercury-based UV lamps. The system allows for parallel exposure of up to 6 Eppendorf tubes simultaneously, and includes a timer for automated shutoff after a specified duration. Assembly of the system is straightforward, with all structural components being either 3D-printed or laser cut. A custom PCB layout is included which simplifies circuit assembly. The total cost of components is ~$250 as of March 2025.
