The groundwater observation well data for verification of GRACE-derived GWSA were collected from Global Groundwater Information System (GGIS). The study only used monthly groundwater level (GWL) records from nine wells in Uganda (the region of UN) due to data shortage in other sections of the basin. The anomaly of the data (GWLA) was correlated with GRACE-derived monthly GWSA estimates to validate the credibility of GRACE data.
