Description
This dataset provides experimental quasi-static axial compression data for 40 FDM-printed sinusoidally-corrugated multi-cell (SCMC) PLA+ energy absorbers generated through Latin Hypercube Sampling (LHS), along with data for a simple tube without corrugation (STWC) and a nominal SCMC configuration (N-SCMC). The dataset includes PLA+ material characterization data (stress-strain curves and mechanical properties), geometric parameters, STL geometry files, force-displacement data, specimen mass and derived crashworthiness indicators, and sequential deformation images. These data enable surrogate modeling, machine learning, design optimization, and numerical model validation for FDM-printed polymer energy absorbers.
