Description

The purpose of this study was to explore the clinical characteristics and treatment of A. dhakensis-induced liver abscesses, with the goal of providing a reference for physicians. We retrospectively report a case of liver abscess caused by A. dhakensis infection in a patient who was admitted to the intensive care unit in August 2023. The patient was a 16-year-old male with a history of aplastic anemia and leukemia who was admitted to the hospital with a fever for 7 days and abdominal pain for 1 day.
