Description
Corrosion-resistant coating maintenance activities on storage tanks in oil refineries require awkward postures, repetitive movements, and intensive use of hand tools. These conditions increase the risk of developing musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), af-fecting workers' health and the operational efficiency of the industrial process. Objec-tive: To analyze the relationship between musculoskeletal effects and ergonomic risk in workers who perform anti-corrosion coating maintenance tasks on storage tanks at an oil refinery.

Steps to reproduce
An observational, quantitative, descriptive, and correlational study with a cross-sectional approach was developed. This methodological choice allowed for the analysis of the presence of musculoskeletal symptoms and their possible relationship with the ergonomic risk associated with specific tasks involving the maintenance of anti-corrosive coatings on storage tanks at an oil refinery. The cross-sectional ap-proach made it possible to capture data at a single point in time for research aimed at identifying relationships between variables in work environments
