Universal World Peace Declaration Model
Description
Plans for world peace keep failing. For 300 years, they have failed the same way. It was almost never because of a war. The Congress of Vienna kept the peace for about 30 years. Then it fell apart when big countries stopped needing it. The League of Nations was never beaten in battle. Japan and Germany quit in 1933. Italy quit in 1937. The countries that stayed did nothing. The United Nations still exists. But it often freezes when it is needed most. Five countries have a veto. Those five are the most likely to be part of any big war. These plans did not fail because people didn’t want peace. They failed because of how they were built. They only worked if everyone kept their word. So they broke the moment a strong country stopped keeping it. This plan starts from the opposite idea. It expects every country to look out for itself. It expects countries to cheat. So it makes cheating costly and slow, and the system survives it. Russia and Europe don’t have to like each other. America and Iran don’t have to trust each other. No government has to care about people in other countries. Peace comes from how things are set up, not from kind feelings. When the plan wants countries to work together, it makes saying no expensive. When it wants a country to stop doing something, it takes away the power to do it. It doesn’t just ask nicely. This is why nuclear deals worked in the Cold War. Each side assumed the other would cheat. So the deals were built to catch cheaters.
