Description

Experimental results of reseach on mortar integration PET plastic bottle waste

Files

Steps to reproduce

This study explores the effects of incorporating polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle waste into mortar properties. PET bottles were shredded, transformed into aggregates, and then integrated into mortars to partially replace natural sand, at rates ranging from 5% to 50%. Six mortar formulations were assessed for several parameters, including workability, density, thermal conductivity, porosity, mechanical strengths, UPV, and dynamic modulus of elasticity.
