Description

This data supports the paper “Impact of cover crop residue mixtures on soil microbial community and functions”. There are two datasheets, one contains the data of soil respiration and another contains the data of PLFA (Phospholipid-derived fatty acids). The unit for respiration and PLFA is µg C / g soil/ h, and µg C / g soil, respectively. In this experiment, there are five treatments which are control (soil without any addition), and treatments receiving single cover crop residue (buckwheat, clover, radish and sunflower), and a quaternary mixture which received 25% of the four cover crop residues. Each treatment has four replicates. The incubation experiment lasted for 84 days after adding cover crop residues. Soil respiration and PLFA were measured at different time points as indicated as “Day” in the spreadsheet.
