The partial coding sequences (658 bp) of the cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 gene of the mayfly genus Ameletus (Ephemeroptera: Ameletidae) were obtained from the International Nucleotide Sequence Database Collaboration (INSDC). The phylogenetic tree of cox1 was generated with IQ-TREE v3.1.4 for Windows [https://iqtree.github.io/] and visualized with FigTree v1.4.4 [https://github.com/rambaut/figtree/releases#release-v1.4.4].
