This study analyzes national team fans’ ingroup prosociality and outgroup hostility. It is hypothesized that national team fans’ whose supported team has more players in the national team will have increased identity fusion, which in turn increases outgroup hostility and ingroup prosociality. This relationship is expected to be mediated by perceived pride.
