Deidentified Dataset for: Bridging Anxiety Symptoms and Addictive-Like Eating Criteria: A Symptom-Level Network Analysis and Associations With Body Mass Index in Peruvian Adults

This repository contains the deidentified analytical dataset and accompanying codebook for the study entitled “Bridging Anxiety Symptoms and Addictive-Like Eating Criteria: A Symptom-Level Network Analysis and Associations With Body Mass Index in Peruvian Adults.” The study examined symptom-level relationships between anxiety symptoms and addictive-like eating criteria in a sample of Peruvian adults using network analysis. Anxiety symptoms were assessed using the Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale, while addictive-like eating was evaluated using criteria derived from the Yale Food Addiction Scale. The dataset also contains the variables required for the analyses examining associations with body mass index (BMI). All data have been deidentified prior to deposition. Direct personal identifiers and information not required for the analyses reported in the manuscript have been excluded. The accompanying codebook provides descriptions of the included variables and their coding. These materials are provided to support transparency and verification of the findings reported in the associated manuscript.

Steps to reproduce

The deidentified dataset contains the variables used in the analyses reported in the associated manuscript. Anxiety symptoms are represented by the individual Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale items, and addictive-like eating criteria are represented by the corresponding Yale Food Addiction Scale criteria. Body mass index and the variables used in the reported association analyses are also included. Variable names, definitions, and coding are provided in the accompanying codebook. The dataset can be imported into standard statistical software for analysis.
