Description

We presented a new method for accurate determination of total salt content in saline soils during freezing and thawing. In this method, the dielectric constant, conductivity and temperature measured by 5TE sensors are used as input parameters. The method is based on the volumetric mixing model of the dielectric constant of frozen soil, which fully considers the crystallization and precipitation state of salt. This study proposes a method that can accurately invert the total salt content of saline soils at any temperature during the freezing process. It provides theoretical support and a scientific reference for future quantitative inversions of soil salinity. This dataset provides part of the data content of the study.
