This data set contains the data and code to reproduce the results presented in the PLoS One article "Variance base weighting of multisensory head rotation signals for verticality perception by Christopher J. Dakin, Prateek Kumar, Patrick A. Forbes, Amy Peters, Brian L Day.

Steps to reproduce

Figure 1 is produced in Variance_Based_Weighting_Script_1.m, Figures 2-5 are produced in Variance_Based_Weighting_Script_3_Statistical_Analysis and Figures 6 and 7 are produced in Variance_Based_Weighting_Script_2_Laurens_Angelaki_Model.m The Group_Times_Series_Data_To_Compared_To_Mechanistic_Model.mat file is used in the Variance Based Weighting Script 2 to plot the Empirical data versus the model predictions. Psychophysics_Data is summary data from Variance_Based_Weighting_Script_1.m to be read into Variance_Based_Weighting_Script_3_Statistical_Analysis for statistical analysis. R_Array_For_Statistical_Modelling is the means for each subject for the interval between 27-40s which are used for Statistical modelling in Variance_Based_Weighting_Script_3_Statistical_Analysis and are generated in Variance_Based_Weighting_Script_1.m
