Description

This dataset contains processed center-of-pressure (COP) and sample entropy data obtained during sit-to-stand and stand-to-sit transitions in young and older adults. COP data were collected using a Wii Balance Board and processed to extract mediolateral COP displacement, anteroposterior COP displacement, and resultant COP during the dynamic phases of the movement. Sample entropy was calculated for each COP time series to quantify the regularity and complexity of postural control during the task. The dataset includes group classification, movement phase, COP variables, and sample entropy outcomes for each participant/trial. These data were used to investigate age-related differences in postural control dynamics during functional transitional movements. The file also includes organized variables to support reproducibility and secondary analyses related to balance, aging, and functional mobility.
