Description

Pollinator visitation and female reproductive success in two floral color morphs of Ipomoea aquatica (Convolvulaceae) Piriya Hassa, Paweena Traiperm and Alyssa B. Stewart The pollination ecology and reproduction of two floral color morphs of Ipomoea aquatica Forssk. were examined in Nong Khai, Thailand. Two data sets were used when analyzing the results of this study (see attached); descriptions of the data sets are provided below. Floral Visitor Data - Date: date that the floral visitor was observed - CameraID: ID of the camera used - Hours: total number of hours filmed - FloralColor: color of floral morph (white = all white corolla; purple = purple corolla tube transitioning to white corolla lobes) - Taxa: scientific name of floral visitor - Order: order of floral visitor - Behavior: how the visitor interacted with the flower (pollinator = contacted floral reproductive structures; visitor = visited flower but did not contact floral reproductive structures) - no.ofVisits: how many times the floral visitor was observed at flowers - VisitationRate: number of visits per hour Pollination Experiment Data - FloralColor: color of floral morph (white = all white corolla; purple = purple corolla tube transitioning to white corolla lobes) - Population: the plant population where the experiment was conducted (W, P, and WP are the same names used in "Pollinator visitation and female reproductive success in two floral color morphs of Ipomoea aquatica (Convolvulaceae)") - Treatment: the experimental treatment used (treatment names are the same as those used in "Pollinator visitation and female reproductive success in two floral color morphs of Ipomoea aquatica (Convolvulaceae)") - FlowerID: the ID of the flower tested - FruitSet: whether or not the flower developed into a fruit (1 = developed into fruit; 0 = did not develop into fruit) - SeedSet: the number of seeds produced
