In our study titled ‘Pollution-related changes in nest microbiota: Implications for growth and fledging in three passerine birds’ (manuscript submitted in April 2024), we investigated the connections between metal pollution, bird nest microbiota, and bird fitness. The attached folder ‘Leino etal2024_Nest_Phyloseq_object_publ.zip’ contains an R-compatible phyloseq object with microbial reads data, taxonomy table, and sample metadata used in this study. A separate PDF 'Leino2024_Nest Phyloseq object clarifications' clarifies variable abbreviations used in the sample metadata.
