Raw data on sheep follicular fluid proteomics
Description
This data is related to a study to describe the proteins present in this fluid and correlate with the follicular development, basing the findings on small and large growing follicles. The ovaries were collected in a slaughterhouse and transported to the laboratory to collect follicular fluid. For proteomic analysis, the follicular fluid was submitted to albumin depletion and then analyzed for protein concentration by the Bradford method for mass spectrometry.

The results were analyzed in terms of gene ontology using the PANTHER and UniprotKB (www.UniProt.org.br) (www.pantherdb.org) classification system databases. The Venn diagram was obtained from the Bioinformatics & Systems Biology web tool. Univariate and multivariate analysis (MetaboAnalyst software - https://www.metaboanalyst.ca/) was used to calculate principal component analysis (PCA), partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA), considering the importance of proteins by the importance of the average variable in the projection (VIP score, α ≥ 1.5). A heat map was also used to compare protein abundances between groups. Data for these analyzes were obtained using the exponentially modified protein abundance index (emPAI) provided by the Mascot Distiller software.
