Steps to reproduce

Step 1: Convert .osm to SUMO network (.net.xml) Use netconvert: netconvert --osm-files your_map.osm -o your_map.net.xml Step 2: Generate Route File (.rou.xml) You can use randomTrips.py or provide your own route logic. python $SUMO_HOME/tools/randomTrips.py -n your_map.net.xml -o your_map.rou.xml -r your_map.trip.xml Step 3: (Optional) Convert OSM shapes to polygons (.poly.xml) Useful for rendering buildings, parks, etc. polyconvert --net-file your_map.net.xml --osm-files your_map.osm -o your_map.poly.xml Step 4: Create the SUMO configuration file (.sumocfg) This XML file references the above outputs. Create a file your_map.sumocfg with this content: <configuration> <input> <net-file value="your_map.net.xml"/> <route-files value="your_map.rou.xml"/> <additional-files value="your_map.poly.xml"/> </input> <time> <begin value="0"/> <end value="1000"/> </time> </configuration> To Run the Simulation sumo-gui your_map.sumocfg
