Test database of the deformations of headed stud connectors welded within the ribs of profiled steel decking with the ribs transverse to the supporting beam
Description
The database contains load-slip measurements for headed shear studs welded within the ribs of profiled steel decking transverse to the supporting beams from 198 push tests described in 15 studies dating from 1988 to 2021. The database also includes the elastic slip, slip capacity, and shear stiffness determined from the load-slip curves according to the 2nd generation of Eurocode 4 (prEC4), as well as the slip capacity and shear stiffness per AISC 360. The prEC4-related variables were obtained using the prEC4, EC4, and UK NCCI stud resistance models, as well as the DH and modified DH resistance models (developed by the present authors). The attached Excel file references the publications from which the test results were obtained, as well as the stud resistance database that formed the basis of this database. The dataset provides the basis for identifying the key variables affecting stud deformations and developing models for predicting the load-slip response, elastic slip, slip capacity, and stiffness of headed shear studs welded within the ribs of profiled steel decking transverse to the supporting beams. This information is crucial for evaluating the stud ductility and stiffness, which affect the shear force distribution in steel-concrete composite beams and their resistance, stiffness, and ductility.
