Christoph RauDescription
Data from 444 mice of the Collaborative Cross and parental lines. 6 mice per strain for CC lines, 8 mice per strain for parentals, evenly split male/female. 4 mice per strain were treated with the beta adrenergic agonist isoproterenol at 30 mg/kg BW / day for 21 days to induce cardiac hypertrophy or heart failure using an implantable minipump. Remaining mice per strain received saline in their minipumps. Mice were euthanized at 21 days. Phenotypes include organ weights and echocardiographic measurements along with fibrosis and cardiomyocyte cell cross-sectional area
