Description

This dataset contains empirical data validating a hybrid Lean-Digital logistics model for Peruvian pet food retail SMEs. The file aggregates four critical components: sector characterization across Lima's zones to define the study population; evidence of operational inefficiencies (stockouts, delays) for root cause analysis; comparative logistics KPIs (baseline vs. target values); and a financial assessment detailing sales, costs, and ROI to demonstrate the model's economic viability.

Steps to reproduce

Data was collected using a mixed-method approach within a representative SME in the Peruvian pet food retail sector. The process involved three stages: (1) Extraction of historical sales and inventory records from the company's internal management system; (2) Direct observation of logistics operations to identify inefficiencies (e.g., stockouts, delays); and (3) Calculation of logistics KPIs and economic indicators (ROI, NPV) based on the collected raw data to validate the proposed Lean-Digital model.
