Experimental reduction of male wing length reveals benefits of pairing with good fathers

This study examined natural variation in male wing length, paired with an experimental reduction in this trait, in a wild population of Prothonotary Warblers (Protonotaria citrea). The data collected for this study at the University of Memphis' Edward J. Meeman Biological Station (35.3637N, 90.0177W) are contained in a .SAS file that is intended to be immediately executable to recreate all analyses reported in the associated paper. Provided in this file are a total of 7 datasets with raw and standardized values (for continuous variables): (i) Unique_males2017, (ii) Nests2017, (iii) Expt_nests, (iv) Expt_nests_stacked, (v) Expt_young), (vi) All_nests2017_2024, (vii) All_recruits. All analyses were conducted using SAS (ver. 9.4).
