Description

- A combined ANOVA revealed highly significant variations in the tested traits among various sweet potato genotypes due to environmental changes. Genotype, environment, and their interactions (GEIs) showed significant effects on all tested traits. The GEIs effect showed the highest influence on all tested traits (P<0.01). Tuber length and sweetness level had moderate CV values, with values of 10.58% and 18.79%, respectively. Tuber diameter had a low CV (9.84%), while yield had a high CV (28.63%). - Based on AMMI measurements, genotypes SP8, SP14, SP13, SP12, and SP1 were identified as having stable yields in all test environments. SP16 was identified as the most adaptive genotype in the Karawang environment, SP10 was identified as the most adaptive in the Sumedang environment, while SP3, C4, C6, and SP4 were identified as the most adaptive in the Bandung environment. - The MTSI measurement results using a selection intensity of 15% showed that the selected genotypes were stable and high-performing, namely MZ121, followed by C1 and C5. Furthermore, genotype C2 (Rancing), which was very close to the cutoff point, was also considered to have several interesting characteristics. The highest MTSI values were recorded by MZ236 and MZ462, indicating that they were the most unstable and underperforming genotypes for all tested traits.
