Description

This dataset contains the replication data and R code for the article “Confidence at the Long End”. Using individual-level responses from the Bank of England/Ipsos Inflation Attitudes Survey, the study examines how confidence in the Bank of England shapes the transmission of near-term inflation beliefs into five-year inflation expectations and longer-horizon forecast accuracy. The package reproduces the tables, figures, and robustness analyses reported in the manuscript. The R scripts are numbered in the order in which they should be executed. The accompanying data file contains the prepared objects required for the analysis. Details on the original data sources, data construction, variable definitions, software requirements, and execution sequence are provided in the README file.
