Description

Documented archive of the primary digital sources cited in chapters 4-6 of the doctoral dissertation "Strategies of Religious and National Identity Preservation in the Iranian-Shia Diaspora in Europe: Germany, Britain and France, 2000-2024" (Ariel University, 2026). The archive contains 111 records with 333 captures (Telegram, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, institutional websites, official documents and court rulings), each with source description, platform, item date, capture date and cross-references to the dissertation's footnotes. Also included: the ATLAS.ti coding sheet (42 sources, 27 codes) and the second-coder disagreement form used for the inter-coder reliability test.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open Research_Archive.docx (or the PDF version). The introduction explains the record structure and the identifier system (Q-numbers for archive records, numbered and named source IDs for the coded corpus, PD-IDs for the Sheffield community channel). 2. Each footnote in chapters 4-6 of the dissertation that cites a primary digital source gives the record identifier in square brackets (e.g. [Q15]). Locate the record by its number in the index at the beginning of the archive; each record lists the source, platform, item date, capture date, the data documented in the capture, and the dissertation footnotes that rely on it, followed by the captures themselves. 3. Coding_Sheet.xlsx contains the coded corpus (42 sources, 27 codes): the "מקורות" sheet lists each source with its open codes and final codes; "מטריצת_קידוד" is the source-by-code matrix; "קודים" gives each code's definition and frequency (n); "ממואים" holds the analytic memos referenced in the dissertation; "הסבר" explains the sheet structure. 4. Second_Coder_Disagreement.docx documents the inter-coder reliability test: the 15-item sample, all 37 disagreements, the discussion and its resolution, and how each resolution is reflected in the final coding (agreement 90.9%, Cohen's kappa 0.65). 5. Counters (subscribers, views, likes) are time-dependent; every figure is documented as observed on the capture date stated in the record. 6. Personal details of private individuals (names, phone numbers, account details) have been blurred in the captures; institutions, clerics and public figures appear as published. 7. Persian, Arabic, German and French items are given in the original language with a Hebrew translation in the record description and in the dissertation's footnotes.
