Description

This study aimed to determine the cut-off values and diagnostic accuracy of the Turkish Voice Handicap Index-10 (VHI-10) and Voice Related Quality of Life (VRQOL) questionnaires. In a cross-sectional cohort study involving dysphonic patients and healthy controls, the optimal VHI-10 cut-off was found to be 7, with a sensitivity of 94% (AUC=0.973), while the VRQOL cut-off was 75, with a sensitivity of 86.7% (AUC=0.912). VHI-10 demonstrated better diagnostic accuracy and is recommended for early detection of voice disorders in Turkish-speaking populations.
