S1_dataset constitutes percentage of key pollen, phytoliths and diatoms recovered from Yushan site (Fig.6a). S2_dataset constitutes the distribution of Hemudu Culture (Fig.7a) that divided into two stages by aroud 6000 BP. S3_dataset of measurement of rice bulliform phytoliths (Fig.8a).
