Galectin-3 and Hepatocyte Growth Factor Activator Inhibitor Type 2: Potential Biomarkers for Early Prediction of Post-Infectious Bronchiolitis Obliterans

Serum proteins, including cytokines, chemokines, growth factors, and acute-phase proteins, play critical roles in regulating immune responses, inflammation, and tissue repair during infections. Quantitative antibody microarray technology enables high-throughput, multiplexed detection of dozens to hundreds of proteins simultaneously from minimal sample volumes. This approach provides a comprehensive snapshot of the host immune response by measuring protein expression levels with high sensitivity and specificity.Here,using quantitative antibody microarrays, we analyzed serum samples from patients with adenovirus pneumonia and the control,and the results showed that 13 proteins with statistically significant differences in expression between the BO group and the NBO group, as well as between the BO group and the Ctrl group.
