Grapevine Virus and Symptom Database (GVS-DB)
Description
The Grapevine Virus and Symptom Database (GVS-DB) is a comprehensive repository designed to support the diagnosis, monitoring, and management of viral diseases in vineyards, particularly those associated with Grapevine Leafroll Disease (GLD) and Grapevine Red Blotch Disease (GRBD). The GVS-DB contains real-time PCR diagnostic results for specific viruses, including GLRaV-1, GLRaV-2, GLRaV-3, and GLRaV-4, associated with GLD, and GRBV, which causes GRBD. Additionally, the repository includes an extensive collection of photographs of leaves and plants both with and without visible symptoms of these diseases, some categorized by molecular diagnostic status. This database serves as a valuable resource for researchers, agricultural professionals, and plant health personnel, offering essential visual and molecular information for the early identification and effective management of viral diseases in vineyards. Furthermore, this information is suitable for building artificial intelligence (IA) models, enhancing predictive capabilities and decision-making in grapevine disease management, ultimately contributing to the sustainability and productivity of grapevine crops.
