Description

MOZART-4 Output Data for Microplastic Mass Concentration (2014) The variables Plast01_MMR_avrg, Plast02_MMR_avrg, Plast03_MMR_avrg, Plast04_MMR_avrg, Plast05_MMR_avrg, and Plast06_MMR_avrg represent the mass concentration of microplastics. The unit kg/kg refers to the ratio of microplastic mass to air mass. The size bins 01–06 correspond to particle diameters of 0.5, 1.5, 5, 10, 35, and 70 µm, as described in the referenced paper. The unit kg/kg refers to the ratio of microplastic mass to air mass. Using an air density of 1.29 kg m⁻³, these values can be converted to volumetric concentrations (μg m⁻³). Furthermore, by combining these mass concentrations with the specified particle size, they can be converted into number concentrations (MP m⁻³).
