Branches of Corymbia citriodora with blister-like galls were collected in Treinta y Tres in isolated trees near the route and in Tacuarembó´s city in 2015, Parque Rivera, Montevideo in 2023, and Parque Ferrando, Colonia in 2024. Leaf samples with galls were placed in Ziploc bags and kept in a climate chamber at 24 °C and a 12:12 photoperiod. The bags were checked daily, and the adult specimens that emerged from the galls were collected and placed in glass vials with 70% ethanol as a preservative. Observations were made using a stereo microscope Olympus SZX from the Laboratorio de Manejo Integrado de Insectos Forestales (LabMIIF), Sede Tacuarembó, UdelaR, Uruguay.
