using scalp instead of buttocks or thigh skin for vitiligo grafting
Description
This video demonstrates our innovative technique for harvesting autologous skin grafts from the parieto-occipital scalp to treat vitiligo. The procedure begins with detailed visualization of scalp donor graft preparation using an electric dermatome, highlighting how the natural drainage system through dense hair follicles eliminates the need for manual perforation. We then demonstrate the postoperative dressing application and follow the healing process, documenting preoperative donor site characteristics and showing complete follicular preservation with no permanent alopecia at both 2-week and 3-month postoperative intervals. The video concludes by comparing the preoperative condition of the recipient site with the excellent repigmentation results achieved by 3-month follow-up.
