Description

This repository provides a daily rainfall dataset compiled from records of 68 rainfall stations located within the Bengawan Solo Water Resources Region (Wilayah Sungai Bengawan Solo), Indonesia. Data availability differs among stations. Some stations contain complete observation records, whereas others contain only partial records or no rainfall observations during the available observation period. The dataset can be used to support hydrological studies, climatological research, rainfall trend analysis, time-series analysis, and other applications requiring long-term daily rainfall observations.

Steps to reproduce

1. Data source and access Daily rainfall observations were obtained from the Hydrology Information System maintained by the Bengawan Solo River Basin Authority (BBWS Bengawan Solo). Original records are available at https://hidrologi.bbws-bsolo.net/curahhujan. Data availability and downloads for each station are provided at https://app.rekayasa-sipil.my.id/data. The dataset contains observations from 68 rainfall stations in the Bengawan Solo Water Resources Region, Indonesia, with records ranging from 1980 to 2025. 2. Data collection Daily rainfall observations were retrieved from the BBWS Bengawan Solo Hydrology Information System using an application programming interface (API). The retrieved records were compiled into comma-separated values (CSV) files containing observation dates, daily rainfall values, station identifiers, station names, and station locations. The dataset covers the following rainfall stations: Wonorejo, Sidorejo, Cepu ARR, Balongpanggang-Gresik, Doplang, Waduk Gonggang, Tangkil, Kalijambe, Kebonagung, Klaten, Nepen, Jururejo, Jatirogo, Ngawi, Pacal Dam, Randublatung, Rejoso, Turi, Nglirip-Tuban, Tangen, Ngrambe, Semampirejo, Pajeng, Ngandong, Jurug 2, Tegalombo, Nawangan-Grindulu, Pacitan ARR, Padangan, Parangjoho, Pracimantoro, Purwantoro, Sembung, Kare, Slahung, Bojonegoro Kalikethek ARR, Sooko, Jamprong, Kedungupit ARR, Kiringan, Tritis, Waduk Notopuro, Waduk Gondang, Waduk Nawangan, Jatisrono, Tondomulo, Pabelan CH, Arjosari, Tawangmangu, Karangbinangun-Lamongan, Sumberbendo, Lamongan, Telaga Ngebel, SongPutri, Peren ARR, Selur, Waduk Delingan, Giriwoyo, Bangunsari, Kebonharjo, Batuwarno, Karangpandan, Waduk Pondok, Waduk Sangiran, Waduk Kedung Brubus, Waduk Dawuhan, Colo Weir CH, and Bojonegoro Ngumpakdalem CH. 3. Data processing Records were standardized for column names, date format (YYYY-MM-DD), chronological order, and rainfall units (mm). The dataset includes two CSV files: pos_hujan.csv (station metadata) and data_hujan.csv (daily rainfall observations linked by pos_id).
