Soil and leaf trait data from three phytophysiognomies of sandy coastal plains (restingas) from SE Brazil. Soil data has information on physicochemical properties, nutritional and isotopic composition, and net N transformation rates. Vegetation data has information on leaf functional traits related to N acquisition and use, including leaf nutritional (C, N, and P concentrations, as well as their elemental ratios) and isotopic composition, leaf mass per area (LMA), lignin concentration, and lignin/N ratio.
