3-Methodology This study aims to analyze the adaptability of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners in Afghanistan during the online teaching and learning process, considering the specific challenges posed by the shift to online education in Afghanistan due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 3.1 Participants The participants of this study involved 24 Afghan EFL learners who are currently engaged in online learning. The sample size and selection criteria is determined through purposive sampling to ensure representation of learning with adaptability of digital platforms or tools 3.2 Materials Data collection is through a mixed-method approach, The participants are asked to complete a questionnaire that will assess their experiences, challenges, and opportunities related to online teaching and learning. The questionnaire includes open-ended questions. In addition to the questionnaire, semi-structured interviews are conducted with a subset of participants to gather more in-depth insights. Interviews are conducted using video conferencing platforms to maintain remote communication. 3.3 Instruments To collect data, two kinds questions and completion tasks as a pretest and a posttest were administered before and after the adaptations of digital platforms or tools to identify patterns and trends. The qualitative data from the open-ended questions and interviews is analyzed using thematic analysis. Themes and patterns will be identified through the data analysis of the pre-test and post-test.
