Description

This dataset provides replication materials for “Who Buys Growth Accelerations? Purchaser Routes and Their Persistence” by Li Gan. The paper examines which purchasers support growth accelerations and how their relative contributions evolve. It allocates domestic value added to household consumption, government consumption, investment, and foreign demand using previous-year-price input-output accounts for 80 economies over 1995–2022, alongside independently dated growth accelerations from Penn World Table. Historical comparisons use Long-run WIOD accounts for 25 economies. The results describe realized purchaser support; they do not identify causal growth effects. The package contains frozen analysis inputs, derived datasets, Python code, reference outputs, manuscript and presentation files, figures, reproduction instructions, and verification logs. Sources include OECD Inter-Country Input-Output Tables, Long-run WIOD version 1.1, Penn World Table 11.0, and World Bank World Development Indicators. RUNME.py reproduces the analysis from the supplied frozen inputs. The original input-output archives are not bundled, and full fresh extraction from those databases was not rerun for this release. SOURCE_MANIFEST.md documents the separate extraction procedure and required source vintages. README.md provides reproduction instructions; FILE_GUIDE.md describes individual archive files; SOURCE_LICENSES.md records attribution and applicable source-specific terms. Third-party data retain their original licensing conditions.
