One Health, One Hesitancy: Identifying the Interconnected Drivers of Human and Pet Vaccine Hesitancy Data Set
Description
The purpose of this research was to investigate the interconnection between pet owners' hesitancy toward human and companion animal vaccines and identify key influencing factors. Data was collected in the form of a survey that gathered information regarding vaccine perception. Participants reported significantly greater trust in pet vaccines than in human vaccines as well as higher levels of perceived benefit. Participants reported greater trust in veterinarians when compared with public health authorities and cited trust in healthcare providers, side effects, and government recommendations as factors that influence vaccination. The dataset was uploaded and worked on using JMP Student Edition. A guide to how the values were coded is uploaded alongside the dataset. The columns of the JMP dataset correspond with different questions and certain questions had to be recoded into a more cohesive format. Numbers on the top of the column correspond to the question number listed in the guide. A sample survey has also been provided for convenience.
