The datasets supporting the findings of this study are provided as Supplementary Data. The supplementary file includes monthly measurements of environmental variables, nutrient concentrations, chlorophyll-a, phytoplankton abundance, diversity metrics, nutrient ratios, and multivariate analysis outputs from 20 coastal stations along the West Bengal coast. These data form the basis of all statistical analyses, including diversity assessment, regression analysis, ordination techniques (RDA and nMDS), ANOSIM, and SIMPER analyses reported in this manuscript.
