The statistical analyses viz. ANOVA (One-way analysis of variance) and Tukey’s test for comparison of means (p ≤ 0.05) for bioassays and Comet assays were done using SPSS Statistical software Version no. 16. The sublethal values were calculated using Probit analysis. For interactions between insecticides and bacterial isolates, a chi square test was used. Antagonistic, additive, or synergistic effect was assessed using a formula ME=MB+MI (1 − MB/100), where ME, MB and MI stands for the expected mortality of combination treatment, observed percentage mortality caused by the individual bacterial isolate and insecticide, respectively. The results of the χ2 test were compared with the table value of χ2 for 1 degree of freedom using the formula χ2 = (MBI − ME)2/ME, where MBI is the observed mortality of the combination treatment (Koppenhofer and Fuzy, 2008). Interactions were classified as additive if χ2 < 3.84, antagonistic if χ2 > 3.84 and MBI < ME, or synergistic if χ2 > 3.84 and MBI > ME (Aalaoui et al., 2025).
