ME-ATPI dataset for the Chalus–Karaj basin system, Central Alborz, Iran
Description
This dataset provides all derived data and Python scripts (227 files, 139.9 MB) supporting the ME-ATPI (Multi-Evidence Active Tectonic Potential Index) analysis published in: Goorabi, A. (2026). A scale-aware multi-evidence framework for screening active tectonic potential in the Central Alborz, Iran (Chalus–Karaj basin system). Geomorphology. The repository is organised into nine folders: (01) earthquake catalogue and basin boundaries; (02) derived geomorphic outputs from LSDTopoTools2 (Mχ, knickpoints, SL anomaly, relief energy, divide disequilibrium); (03) fault structural context note; (04) ME-ATPI 1-km integration grid — the primary output containing all component scores, hotspot classification, and Monte Carlo probabilities for 2741 valid interior cells; (05) sensitivity analysis results (weighting, grid-size, fault-scale, evidence-coverage); (06) lithology–climate residualisation and PCA outputs; (07) seismicity consistency test data; (08) source-of-truth locked values and magnitude-of-completeness outputs; (09) 25 core analysis scripts. All spatial files use WGS 84 / UTM Zone 39N (EPSG:32639). Raw GSI geological map products are not redistributed; see GSI_NOTE.txt in folder 03.

Steps to reproduce
Run scripts in 09_Code in numbered order (see WORKFLOW_GUIDE.txt). Requires Python 3.11 with dependencies in REQUIREMENTS.txt, LSDTopoTools2 v0.9, and Google Earth Engine access for climate inputs. Primary topographic input (SRTM 30m) must be downloaded separately from NASA LP DAAC. The main output (04_ME-ATPI_Grid/ME_ATPI_grid_1km.csv) can be reproduced by running scripts 01 through 18 in sequence, followed by 39 and 41 for seismicity and completeness analyses.
