The summary of in-depth interview sessions with the respondents working in architectural consultancy practices

Steps to reproduce

To ensure effective data collection, this study engaged the informants through formal email invitations, followed by a request to indicate their preferred communication platform for convenience. Communication then continued through WhatsApp. Prior to the interviews, discussion topics were shared with the informants to provide context and facilitate understanding of the study’s objectives, and a brief presentation was prepared and delivered during the online sessions to support their engagement. Some questions were adapted in real time to support a participant-led dialogue. Informed consent was obtained through a university-issued form. Ethical approval for this research was granted by the Human Research Ethics Committee of the researcher’s employing university (available upon request). All the interviews were conducted between February and March 2025 via Google Meet, as the informants were selected from various states in Malaysia, making online interviews the most practical approach. All sessions were recorded using OBS Studio, then transcribed verbatim through a series of AI transcription tools. The transcripts were then proofread and cross-checked against the recordings to ensure accuracy. To secure the data loss, all recorded and written files were securely stored in Google Drive, as a precaution against potential data loss associated with storing files on personal devices.
