Data and MATLAB code for species-specific hydroclimate associations and transferability of positive Anopheles catch intensity in southwestern Colombia
Description
This repository contains the complete MATLAB workflow and verified analytical outputs for a secondary biometeorological analysis of positive Anopheles catches in Guapi, Timbiquí, and Santa Bárbara, Colombia. The workflow automatically retrieves the pinned Darwin Core source and daily NASA POWER meteorological data, applies prespecified quality and sample-size gates, fits species-specific zero-truncated negative binomial models, evaluates frozen temporal validation and leave-one-sampling-unit-out transfer, performs cluster bootstrap and sensitivity analyses, and writes figures, tables, run reports, status files, and SHA-256 checksums. No absence records are created. The scientific target is positive-catch intensity conditional on a recorded positive catch.

Steps to reproduce
Extract the ZIP without changing the directory structure. Open MATLAB R2026a Update 5 or a compatible release. Set this repository root as the current folder. Run `START_HERE.m`. Follow progress in the Command Window and `outputs/LIVE_PROGRESS.txt`. Confirm that `outputs/PIPELINE_STATUS.json` reports `SUCCESS` and 10 completed stages. Verify `outputs/SHA256SUMS.txt` and compare generated tables with the verified outputs supplied here. Internet access is required for an uncached first run. Source downloads are automatic. No manual maps, Google Maps, Google Earth Engine, or other manual platform downloads are required.
