Emissivity_CO2-H2O_94500-values_EM2C
Description
The dataset deposited here is a comprehensive set of total (spectrally-integrated) emissivity values relevant to oxy-fuel combustion and other applications with high concentrations of carbon dioxide (CO2) and/or pure water vapor (H2O). The emissivity values are divided into 10 groups, corresponding to 10 chemical compositions at 1 atm (normal atmospheric pressure), representing various possible combinations of (H2O,CO2) gaseous mixtures, with molar ratios (R) or H2O:CO2 from 0.0 (pure CO2) to infinity (pure H2O). Each chemical composition is designated by the molar ratio (R), and is assigned one data file, with a plain text format (with the extension ".dat"), having a size of 326 kilobytes (kB). For each chemical composition, the pressure-pathlength is varied as a geometric series from 0.01 atm.m to 50 atm-m, with a total of 90 values. For each pressure-pathlength, the gas temperature is varied from 300 K to 2900 K, with a uniform increment of 25 K (a total of 105 temperatures). Thus, there is a total of 94,500 emissivity values in the entire dataset (9,450 emissivity values for each of the 10 data files; corresponding to 90 pressure-pathlengths and 105 temperatures). The emissivity values are computed using the EM2C implementations of the statistical narrow band (SNB).
