This dataset includes: (1) snow-covered area (SCA) measurements (km²) obtained between 2000 and 2020 in the Toconao sub-basin, located within the Salar de Atacama Basin (Chile); and (2) meteorological and hydrological input and output data corresponding to three hydrological years (from 1 May 2016 to 30 April 2019), generated using the Cold Regions Hydrological Modelling Platform (CRHM). The dataset is analysed and interpreted in the article entitled “Snowmelt and Groundwater Recharge in an Arid Andean Basin: The Case of the Salar de Atacama, Chile.”
