Beached seabirds in Brazil - cause of death, pathologies and plastic ingestion

Description

We reviewed complete postmortem examination records of 654 seabirds that beached between 2017-2021 in Southeastern Brazil. This dataset includes information about: - Biological data (species, weight, sex, stage of development, corporal score). - Cause of death and pathologies/conditions found in necropsy. - Debris ingestion, mostly plastic, including total amount and mass (0.0001 g) , and per type: industrial plastic, hard plastic, sheet plastic, threadlike plastic, foam, elastic, other items and hook.
