AquaCrop simulation of maize in the Republic of Moldova
Description
This research assessed the impacts of climate change and adaptation strategies on maize in the Republic of Moldova. AquaCrop modeling was conducted using a number of different combinations of factors (each listed in order in each simulation output file name): medium cycle variety of maize, three locations (Soroca, Chisinau, and Cahul), three sowing dates (early 26 Apr, reference 11 May, and late 26 May), two management practices (optimal and non-optimal), two climate change scenarios (Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) 2.6 and 8.5), and three Global Climate Models (MOHC-HadGEM2-ES, MPI-M-MPI-ESM-LR, and NCC-NorESM1) over the simulation period of 90 years (2010-2100). Each simulation has two files: project files (.PRM) and seasonal output files (season.OUT).
