This is a descriptive-analytical and comparative study bridging Islamic jurisprudence and statutory law. The methodology involved evaluating jurisprudential texts across the four Sunni schools of thought (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, and Hanbali) regarding women's rights and family protection. This was accompanied by a systematic legal analysis of Afghanistan's standalone 'Law on Elimination of Violence Against Women (EVAW)' to assess and compare preventative and punitive mechanisms."
