Description

The dataset is a curated collection of 51 bibliographic records of peer-reviewed academic publications. The data was gathered on November 19, 2025, via a structured search query on the Scopus database. The search string combined key terms related to neuro-architecture (e.g., "neuro-architecture," "neurodesign," "neuroscience AND architecture") with terms for the built environment (e.g., "architectural design," "built environment," "urban design"). The results were filtered to include only Open Access articles, reviews, and conference papers published between 2020-2025 within the subject areas of Engineering, Environmental Science, Neuroscience, and Social Science.

Data Collection Protocol: This dataset was compiled through a systematic literature search on Scopus, the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature. The gathering process followed a structured workflow: Search Strategy: A defined search string was executed in the TITLE-ABS-KEY field. The string combined neuro-architecture terms ("neuro-architecture" OR "neuroarchitecture" OR "neuroscience AND architecture" OR "neurodesign") with built environment terms ("built environment" OR "architectural design" OR "urban design"). Application of Filters: The initial results were refined using Scopus's built-in filters to meet strict inclusion criteria: Publication Year: 2020–2025 Subject Area: Engineering, Environmental Science, Neuroscience, Social Science Document Type: Article, Review, Conference Paper Access Type: All Open Access Data Export: The final 51 resulting records were exported directly from the Scopus platform in CSV format, which includes full bibliographic data, abstracts, and keywords.
