Description

The data contained in this repository describes biogeochemical and physicochemical characterisation data in samples collected from adjacent to the United Kingdom’s Sellafield Nuclear Site. It includes particle size distribution and textural classification, pH measurements, water and organic carbon content (loss on ignition), BET surface area, bioavailability of iron, cation exchange, permeability measurements, X-ray analysis for phase (X-ray diffraction, XRD) and element (X-ray fluorescence, XRF) identification, ion chromatography, thin sectioning and 16S Ribosomal (rRNA) gene analysis.
