Description

This dataset compiles weekly in-situ greenhouse-gas (GHG) fluxes and ancillary soil/climate variables measured in a low-N maize-wheat rotation on the North China Plain (Fengqiu station, 114°24′ E, 35°00′ N, Fluvisol, 2014-06 to 2015-05). Four replicate plots (4 m × 6 m each) received 0 kg N ha⁻¹ (both crops) but standard P & K; no organic amendment was applied. CO₂, CH₄ and N₂O exchange were sampled with static chamber system and gas chromatography. Fluxes were calculated from linear concentration change, chamber temperature and ideal-gas law. Simultaneously, the 0–15 cm layer was cored (5-point S-pattern per plot) for gravimetric moisture, 2 M KCl-extractable NH₄⁺-N & NO₃⁻-N (Skalar CFA), and qPCR abundances of nosZ (N₂O-reducers) and pmoA (methanotrophs). Meteorological data (T, rainfall, 5 cm & 10 cm soil T, LST) were logged hourly by an on-site automatic station. The dataset allows users to reproduce seasonal budgets, test temperature/moisture/nitrate response functions, or parameterise microbial GHG models under low-N cereal systems.
